On September 27, 2025, the openGauss Meetup Chengdu Station was successfully held. The core team of the openGauss RISC-V SIG made a dazzling appearance, sharing their important progress in the RISC-V architecture: implemented the openGauss container deployment solution and completed the migration from 5.1.0 to 7.0.0, with significant performance improvements. Currently, the community is actively promoting technical optimization and ecosystem building, and launching the [Jichen Plan] internship recruitment, inviting developers to join, and contributing to the development of the open source database in the RISC-V ecosystem. The First "Hefei RISC-V Open Day" was held successfully at Hefei University of Technology, with a successful outcome.
On September 24, 2025, the first [Hefei RISC-V Open Day] was held successfully at Hefei University of Technology. The event gathered over 100 experts and scholars to discuss the development of the RISC-V software and hardware ecosystem. Red Hat, PLCT Lab, and other institutions shared their innovative practices in operating systems, AI, and education, and set up an ecosystem exhibition to showcase the latest results of openKylin and deepin. This event established a crucial platform for industry-university-research cooperation and promoted the harmonious development of the RISC-V ecosystem.
